New to the market!
Well appointed,
comfortable and spacious 1, 2 and 3 bed gites with large heated swimming pool.
Eric and Anita Harkus look forward to welcoming you to La Grue gites - a
collection of 3 carefully restored gites with a large swimming pool. We have
recently acquired and refurbished the property so there is still availability
for this season.
We are located in a peaceful hamlet some 3 km from the market town of
Aigre in the middle of the vine and sunflower region close to

All gites are built from traditional local limestone and have been
refurbished to a very high standard, retaining many typical Charentais
character features such as exposed stone walls and beams.

Changeover day is Saturday. Arrival after 4 pm, departure by 10 am.
A welcome pack is provided on arrival.

The Farmhouse
The farmhouse was built around 1850 and has 2 double bedrooms and a twin
bedroom, a family bathroom with bath and shower over, washbasin and toilet to
the first floor.
On the ground floor is an entrance hall, a good size sitting room with comfortable
sofas and a wood burning fire and a fully fitted kitchen/diner and, of course,
a downstairs toilet.
La Maison
La maison sleeps 4 people with a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and
a shower room on the first floor.
Downstairs is open plan, consisting of a fully fitted kitchen, dining
area and sitting area, and separate downstairs toilet. The sitting area has a
comfortable leather chesterfield suite.
La Petite

La Petite
\maison is a 1 double bedroomed gite suitable for two people. Downstairs is a
large lounge area with comfortable seating, a kitchen/diner and separate
downstairs toilet. An unusual feature of this property is an original stone
well between the sitting room and the dining area. A spiral staircase leads
from the dining area to the bedroom, which has an en-suite shower, toilet and
hand basin.
The pool
The pool is large (12m by 6m), with a shallow end 1m deep and a deep end
of 1.6m. It is surrounded by a large pool terrace, with sun loungers provided. The
pool is safe and secure for children. The area is enclosed behind a wall with
access via a door using a key code, which will be given to guests on their
arrival.

see and activities in the area
There is plenty for both adults and families to see and do in Poitou
Charente.
The rolling countryside surrounding La Maison Bleue is ideal for cycling
and walking.
There is a selection of tours to suit all tastes – to interesting places
such as
